Kansas State Fair fun

We loaded up in the car today and headed to Hutchinson for the Kansas State Fair.  Bryce was so excited!  The weather didn't seem the greatest with some drizzle and cool temperature, but it actually turned out to be a beautiful day!

 I wanted a picture of Bryce with the Kansas Seal, but she wasn't having it!  Maybe they are just sad to live in Kansas...? :)

Bryce's Prayer

My little gymnast!

Tonight was Bryce's first day of gymnastics!  She loved it! 

When we got there, she headed into the gymnastics area and told the girl her name.  She sat down criss-cross applesauce and waited for the other girls to get there.  Such a big girl!  I'm not going to lie I expected a little hesitation or a tear or two, but I got nothing.  :)

 

Then they scretched for a good 5 minutes. :)

 

Then the "stations" started!  Her favorite was the "rolling" off the ramp thingy.  Unfortunatly, I didn't get a picture of it. :(

It was tough to watch her wait for a teacher to come tell her what to do or model something for her.  I don't know how many other girls were newbies too, but it broke my heart to see her just standing there not knowing what to do. 

 

I'm super happy that she enjoyed it so much and is ready to go back!

Preschool Update

I thought I would pop in and give you an update on my little preschooler.  She LOVES everything about preschool!  She loves her teachers, she loves playing outside, she loves doing art, etc!  I'm so happy that she is enjoying it!  The next couple weeks may be weird for her as some of the other children will be leaving for Kindergarten.  She has made some friends that will be leaving, so I hope it isn't very hard on her.  I don't have any pictures to share because she hasn't let me take any of her at school. :( 

But, her first field trip is on September 21st and I'm going to try and go!  I'm so excited! :)

First Day of Preschool!

Today is Bryce's first day of Preschool at Loving Arms Child Care Center.! When I woke her up at 7:20, she told me "I can't go to preschool today.  I'm too tired."  Poor thing!  After getting her into her cute new dress (from Grandma Rogers!) and eating her Princess vitamins, we were ready to head to school! We stopped at our front door to take a picture.  Since she was so nervous, it was hard to get a  good picture.  But she sure is cute!

We walked into her new classroom and checked out her new cubby.  She loved it!  Then she got to sit down in her own "Bryce" chair for breakfast.  I headed out to pay and told her I would be back to say "goodbye".  Being a teacher I know that it is not a good idea to return to the classroom, but I had to say goodbye! When I left the room she was sitting so good waiting for her breakfast and when I returned she was glued to me and wanted to sit on my lap. :(  I snuck out after saying "I'll be back" and giving a quick kiss.  I hope she is having fun! 

I'm not going to lie. I got a little teary-eyed when I left her. :(

When I returned to my car I found out that my battery was dead! 

After a little hissy fit, we decided that  I would walk to

WBC and get Kyle's truck and keep it for the day. 

This way, he could deal with the dead battery later! :)

I miss my little 4 year old and can't believe she is old enough for preschool! 

I  don't know how I'm going to deal with Kindergarten next year! :(
