Pre-K field trip #2!

I went to Bryce's second field trip to C-Arrow Stables yesterday.  It was a lot of fun!  There was 3 areas:petting zoo, pony rides, and a hayrack ride drawn by horses.  At the end, the kids got to get a pumpkin out of a hay bin.  Of course, Bryce's favorite part was getting her pumpkin. :)    I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted because it was so chilly that I was holding Bryce's hand and her little friend, Maria's hand to stay warm.  (It was a chilly, WINDY morning!) 

 The petting zoo was so much fun!  They had goats, sheep, deer(!), llama and more!  We spent the most time in this area.

 There were baby pigs too!  So cute!

 It was a little bit of a battle to get her to want to ride a pony.  I have no idea why??  But once she was on, she loved it!  My little cow girl! :)

I love watching Bryce interact with her friends!  I'm so glad that I have a job that makes it possible for me to attend these field trips!

 

BOOtanica 2012

I wanted to go to BOOtanica since I heard the date.  It took a little convincing for Bryce to go and then today turned out to be a pretty crummy day with the weather. On top of the rainy weather, Bryce and I have had on and off fevers, a horrible cough and runny noses.  We decided to go for a little bit and be home in time for nap time.  I'm glad we went because we had a fun little hour!

Bryce already knows 3 sight words!

I am so proud of my little girl!  She can already read 3 sight words!  "At" still needs some practicing! :)

Air Show 2012

We enjoyed the Air Show again this year!  The last time we went Bryce was 2, so it was neat to see her actually want to see the planes.  She wasn't in the best mood, but I think we all still had fun!

Free Museum Day!

We took advantage of not paying for our favorite places today!  I told Bryce the list of participating museums and she chose Cowtown and Botanica.  I told her about the "castle" museum downtown and she added that to our list too. 

 

Cowtown was first on the list and daddy came with us!  (A rare treat! :))  I love Cowtown and would live there if  could!  We saw our usual spots including the animals at the farm and even went into some houses we have skipped during previous trips, like the Blood house.

  After Cowtown, we dropped off daddy (to go to work) and headed to Botanica.  We love their Children's area!  I love to watch Bryce play with all the neat exhibits and have loads of fun!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After Botanica, we headed to our third and final museum, the Sedgwick County Historical Museum.  We have never been but we've drove by the building many times and it is amazing! Our favorite exhibit was the Children's Area!  The old toys, strollers, bed, and old clothing was super neat!

 

 

 Bryce is watching a video of how they got the car (picture below) into the museum.  She thought it was pretty neat!

 

What an AMAZING day!!  We can't wait for Free Museum Day next year!
